One of the Jewels of Santa Barbara is Stearns Wharf. Even though it's burned down, (twice), i has always been rebuilt better than before. It is an architectural icon transcending time since the beginnings of Santa Barbara.
It makes a great subject for painting or photography.
This is a recent painting, I created in January 2011. I created it as a demonstration painting for my painting class, "Light and Shadow in Art". Using a minimal palette.
